Marseille tarot
French tarot tradition, spread since the 18th century, known for its iconography and use of colour. It uses 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Arcane AI works only with the 22 Majors of that tradition.
Major Arcana
The 22 main tarot cards, numbered 0 to 21, associated with archetypes and stages of a life journey: from the Fool to the World. In Arcane AI they are the only cards in the deck, and each one is read in relation to the others in the spread.
Reversed card
A card that appears upside down in a spread. It does not mean the opposite of the card, but a nuance: a block, an excess or a shadow aspect. In Arcane AI you mark the orientation in the portal before requesting the interpretation.
One-card spread
The smallest reading: a single card for a specific question. It works as a quick orientation or as the opening of a larger reading. In Arcane AI it is the most direct format of the Neophyte tier.
Three-card spread
Classic past, present and future structure. It reads a situation as a process rather than an isolated snapshot. Arcane AI uses it for short-term questions and decisions.
Five-card spread
Foundation, challenge, past, future and outcome. It shows the tension between what sustains a situation and what pushes it forward. It is the widest format in the Arcane AI oracle.
Jungian archetypes
Patterns of the collective unconscious formulated by Carl Jung: the Shadow, the Anima, the Self. They are used to read the cards as psychic states rather than external events. Arcane AI applies them in the Hierophant tier.
Kabbalah and the Tree of Life
Jewish symbolic system that relates the 22 Hebrew letters to the 22 Major Arcana through the Tree of Life. It adds a further layer of reading to the deck. Arcane AI integrates it in the full Hierophant reading.
Astrology and tarot
Correspondences between planets, zodiac signs and cards. In the Western tradition each Arcanum is associated with a planet or a sign. In Arcane AI every card is linked to a planet and a sign, read in the Hierophant tier.
AI oracle
A tarot reading interpreted by a language model. The model does not foretell: it articulates the symbolism of the cards in relation to the question. Arcane AI runs on a self-hosted model with three reading depths.
Digital companion
A portal that accompanies a physical object without replacing it. In Arcane AI the deck is used by hand and the portal interprets the spread: the gesture is physical, the reading is digital. The highest tier requires the deck.
Reading tiers
Three depths of the Arcane AI oracle: Neophyte (short poetic reading, no account), Seer (card by card, with shadow and advice) and Hierophant (full symbolic, Jungian, Kabbalistic and astrological reading, with the physical deck).
